
Ruth O'Regan

Ruth O’Regan, MD, MSc, FASCO is Executive Vice Dean and Chief Academic Officer at the University of Rochester, Chair of the Department of Medicine, and the Charles A. Dewey Professor of Medicine. She also serves as Associate Director for Education and Mentoring and Interim Associate Director for Clinical Research at the Wilmot Cancer Institute.

Previously, Dr. O’Regan was the Division Chief of Hematology, Medical Oncology, and Palliative Care in the Department of Medicine at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health (UWSMPH), where she also served as Deputy Director of the Carbone Cancer Center. She was the Chief Scientific Officer for the Big Ten Cancer Research Consortium and served as Vice Chair of the Board of Directors for the National Comprehensive Cancer Network.

Dr. O’Regan also held leadership positions at Emory University, including Director of the Glenn Family Breast Cancer Program at the Winship Cancer Institute, Vice Chair for Education, and Director of the Hematology-Oncology Fellowship Program.
